Satellites that have reached the end of their lifespan while orbiting the earth or fragments of rockets launched into space are called space debris.

This space debris is becoming an international headache because it can collide with other satellites or fall to the ground.

The industry to remove space debris is emerging as a new food source for the space industry.

Objects falling to Earth in a line drawing a long tail!

It’s not a shooting star, it’s the remains of a rocket launched by China.

In July, an object that fell from space was found on a farm in Australia.

It turned out to be the wreckage of a US SpaceX rocket, measuring 3m in length.

Space debris like this is a hazard in outer space as well.

Moving at more than 10 times faster than a bullet, it collides with a satellite, destroys it, and rushes to the International Space Station, causing astronauts to evacuate.

As space debris emerges as a global scourge, companies are scrambling to develop related technologies.

A Japanese company developed a space debris collection satellite last year and launched it into space along with a man-made garbage satellite.

After months of flying, the collection satellite has even managed to reunite with the garbage satellite.

The goal is to remove real British satellites from Earth’s orbit by 2026.

The European Space Agency is developing a claw-arm satellite that can capture space debris, drag it down into the atmosphere and burn it up.

It is planned to launch as early as 2025.

The European Space Agency is also developing a satellite that launches nets from space to capture space debris.

Among the space debris orbiting the earth, there are about 36,000 objects with a diameter of more than 10 cm!

As each country advances into space, it is expected to increase further, and the size of the space debris removal industry is expected to grow to 18 trillion won in our money by 2030.
