The French worried but not very informed …
Diabetes is manifested by an excess of sugar in the blood due to the lack of insulin. It can be genetic, physiological (overweight, hormonal) or induced by the person's lifestyle. It is a serious illness that, without proper treatment, can lead to heart disease, blindness, impotence and even amputations.
Diabetes is a global scourge and our country is not spared: 3 million French are now diabetics. To this figure are added diabetics who do not know each other, more than 700,000 French. Every day about 400 new patients are diagnosed and by 2020 the number of people treated will be doubled in the Hexagon.
