Pedro, how is «The Mandalorian» different from «Star Wars» films?

I think in the saga films good and evil are very clearly defined. The Mandalorian, on the other hand, is more of a dangerous dance between the two worlds. The whole thing has a wild west vibe, is darker, edgier and more unpredictable. I love it.

How was it when you put on the Mandalorian’s helmet for the first time?

If, like me, you grew up with “Star Wars” films and toys and now embody yourself what you always imagined as a child, then this is a superb pitchin ‘moment. Can we make it a hashtag? #SuperBitchin. However, you don’t see much with the helmet on your head.

Gina, when did you get it that you were shooting for a “Star Wars” series?

On the first day on the set. I rode a creature belonging to the Blurrg race. I sat on the creature and noticed: “Okay, that’s what my life looks like for the time being.” I thought it was great.

Your role is very physical – did you do your own stunts?

Whenever possible. I hated it when someone else was wearing my costume. I always said, “Oh, Cara has to run in this scene? Okay, I’m running, no problem. We don’t need the stunt double. » I didn’t like to share.

Jon, what is special about “The Mandalorian”?

That the series tells a new story with characters never seen before. You come with me, even if you have no idea about “Star Wars”. But you have just as much fun if you are a fan – because you also understand the whole thing around.

What does “Star Wars” mean to you?

“Star Wars” shaped me fundamentally. He came out in 1977 when I was eleven. I still remember seeing a headline in the newspaper with a picture of Chewbacca and Han Solo – that grabbed me. The film blew me away. I sat there with my mouth open – like everyone else in the cinema.

“The Mandalorian” is now available on the new Disney + platform in the stream.
