Danish police: 32-year-old raped and strangled Emilie Meng (17)

The man accused of deprivation of liberty and rape Filippa (13) in Denmark, is also charged with deprivation of liberty, rape and murder of Emilie Meng.

The 17-year-old disappeared from Korsør on Zealand on 10 July 2016 and was found murdered on 24 December the same year. The remains were found by a small body of water in the middle of Zealand. A knife was found in the water.

On Wednesday evening, sensational information about the unsolved murder came when the 32-year-old man was produced for remand in Næstved in Denmark.

The police believe that the 32-year-old subjected Meng to abuse, strangled her to death and transported her body to a lake where she was found half a year later, reports Ekstra Bladet.

The politician writes that the police have a number of pieces of evidence against the accused in the Meng case. Among other things, emphasis is placed on which car he had, findings at his residence and several purchases he made the day before the murder.

The man was arrested on 16 April for the abduction and rape of Filippa (13) in the same area. A short time later he was charged with Meng’s murder.

The 32-year-old is now also charged with a third crime: threats, violence and attempted rape against a 15-year-old girl at a community college in Sorø last November.

The accused denies criminal guilt for two of the cases, while he admits partial criminal guilt for the abduction and rape of the 13-year-old.

During the detention meeting, it also became clear that the man will be held in custody until 8 June.
