6 hidden Galaxy Note 20 features you won’t want to miss

Was announced My phone Galaxy Note 20 and (Note 20 Ultra) from Samsung earlier this week, and the Note 20 Ultr is more expensive, but it offers a bigger screen with a faster refresh rate, a bigger battery and a (microSD) card slot, I’ve been using the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra since It’s about 24 hours now, and although I haven’t discovered every new feature and setting, I have found some great hidden features that make the phone experience so much better.

Here are 6 hidden benefits that make the Galaxy Note 20 much better than it really is:

Refresh rate:

Note 20 Ultra has a variable screen refresh rate of 120Hz. This means that when your phone detects that you are doing something like scrolling through a long email or website, it uses the faster refresh rate, making the scrolling experience very smooth.

When you just look at an image or do something else that doesn’t require much movement on the screen, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will default to 60Hz.

It is a good idea to check carefully that the (Motion Smoothness) feature of your phone is turned on. To do so, open (Settings)> (Display)> (Motion Smoothness) and make sure (Adaptive) is selected.

As Samsung indicates, the increased refresh rate will use more battery, but that is the price I’d like to pay In exchange for a better experience.

Smart pen:

The S Pen is one of the main features of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but it is very easy to forget it somewhere and never see it again. Fortunately, if you go to (Settings) then (Advanced features) then (S Pen) and you By scrolling down to the (Removal section), you will find an option called (Alert near the pen), turn it on.

the screen:

One of the favorite features of any Android phone is (Always-On Display). With this feature turned on, you can quickly glance at your phone to check the time, see any pending notifications, battery percentage, as well as control music playback, all without having to wake up or unlock your phone.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a feature (Always-On Display), but you’ll need to wake your phone’s screen before it appears.

However, you can change this by going to (Settings)> (Lock Screen)> (Always-On Display). Don’t press the button to turn it on, instead tap the text so you can customize how it works. You can go to each setting and section, choose the clock and color you want, and set a schedule if you want to.

Lock screen shortcuts:

When you look at your phone’s lock screen, you’ll see an app icon that provides a quick way to launch an app in every corner. Samsung sets phone and camera apps as default shortcuts, but it can change which apps you can open, and how to access the shortcut.

Notices:

It can be difficult to keep up with the countless alerts our phones receive throughout the day. And it becomes even more difficult when the status bar on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra limits the number of icons for app notifications.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a limit of three app icons in the status bar, which is not close to enough, but if you open (Settings) then (Notifications) then (Status bar), you will be able to change the status bar to show a number for all pending notifications, Or the 3 most recent or all notifications.

Of course, there’s only a lot of space in the status bar, so if you have a bunch of alerts from a large number of apps, not all of them will show up, but this setting helped me get more than three.

Gestures:

By default, the Galaxy Note 20 will switch to the traditional three-button navigation, there will be buttons to go back to the home page and view the app switcher, but it’s time to switch to the gesture-based navigation in Android 10. After a few days of scrolling around your phone, you’ll forget all about the buttons and appreciate the feature. Added screen.

To turn on this setting, go to (Settings) then (Display) then (Navigation Bar) and select Swipe Gestures, I recommend turning on Gesture Tips for a few days while you learn the new navigation technology.
