Kidambi Srikanth Falls to Lin Chun-Yi at German Open, India’s Run Ends

Mulheim an der Ruhr, Germany – February 26, 2026 – Senior Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth was defeated in the second round of the German Open Super 300 tournament by Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chun-Yi, marking the end of India’s campaign in the competition.

The 2021 World Championships silver medallist lost to Lin, the reigning India Open Super 750 champion, 14-21, 9-21 in a 32-minute match. Rediff Sports reported on the straight-game defeat.
