The bottle thrown into the sea, hermetically sealed with a wax cap, bears a label with the image of a smiling girl surmounted by the mention "To the fond memory of Sorrell Leczkowski, 5 February 2003 – 22 May 2017"according to Corriere della Sera.
It was recovered early in the week on a beach in the Puglia region by the mayor of the small town of Morciano di Leuca, who works to find the family to invite him to stay there and take the bottle.
