A "Breaking Bad" movie is in progress

The production of the Vince Gilligan-helmed project is scheduled for the end of this month

The actor Brian Cranston has confirmed it breaking Bad is set to return in the form of a film by creator Vince Gilligan.

The successful TV series ran for five seasons, premiered in 2008 and reached its final in 2013. A successful spin-off series, Better to call Saul, started in 2015.

Yesterday (November 7th), it was reported that a breaking Bad the film was in progress. Second The Hollywood Reporter, the show's creator Gilligan was working on a two-hour film adaptation.

The sources said that the exit – currently underway from the provisional title Greenbrier – "will be set in the current one breaking Bad franchise ", and will follow the flight of a kidnapped man and the pursuit of freedom.

Now, actor Cranston, who played the role of Walter White on the show, confirmed the news in an interview on Dan Patrick's show. Cranston said he had not seen the script yet, but that he had talked to Gilligan about the film.

Production will begin this month in New Mexico, has been confirmed by the New Mexico Film Office.

It is not yet known whether the film will be a prequel or the sequel to the original series, and it is unclear whether the original actors will be involved.

However, sources say Gilligan will be at the helm – writing the screenplay, producing executive and possibly directing. Better to call Saul Executive producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein were also connected to the project.

At the start of this year, Gilligan revealed that "desperately" wants to reunite Walter White and Jesse Pinkman Better to call Saul.

Elsewhere, Bryan Cranston said he would not want to breaking Bad to come back for a new series. "In a sense, it's better to leave it alone – we want to look back on it favorably," he said. "I do not want to joke with it." In 2014, he said "never say never" when he was questioned about a potential film adaptation.
