A documentary dedicated to the isolation of Serge Thériault presented in November

Many of you are certainly wondering what happened to actor Serge Thériault, who has completely disappeared from Quebec’s artistic community in recent years.

Filmmakers Martin Fournier and Pier-Luc Latulippe will soon be showing the documentary Outside Serge Outside, which examines the mental health problems of the actor, who marked the collective imagination with his roles in Neighbors, The little life, Les Boys and Gaz Bar Blues, in addition to his many feats of arms alongside Claude Meunier.

The film chronicles the many efforts of his wife Anna Suazo, his daughter Melina and a couple of friends, trying as best they can to help him overcome the deep depression into which he sank, and which has left him. completely isolated from the rest of the world for seven years now.

The documentary Outside Serge Outside will be presented as part of the 24th edition of the Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (RIDM), which will take place from November 10 to 21.

The film will also be released in theaters starting November 19.
