In a statement, David Poon, who is a doctor by training in addition to having founded the organization, believes that Ottawa should grant “compassionate” exemptions from mandatory quarantines at the hotel for “family reunification”, which, in her opinion, would allow families to perform quarantine at home “safely and affordably”.
