A man has been arrested after allegedly killing his partner of 36 years in the Salamanca municipality of bejar and then he tried to jump off a viaduct, as reported by the Government Sub-delegation.
“The detainee He had complaints from 2005 for domestic violence against his father and brotherwhile the victim had filed complaints for ill-treatment towards his previous partners but none towards his alleged murderer”, the Sub-delegation has detailed in its note.
Around six in the morning this Wednesday, the Béjar National Police received a call from a 49-year-old man who claimed to have murdered his partner and that he was going to commit suicide on a viaduct at km 412 of the A-66.
When the Police and Health Emergencies arrived at the couple’s home, located at number 7 Gredos street, they found a 36-year-old woman deceased with a strong blow to the head.
Around half past seven, with the collaboration of the Civil Guard, the National Police has convinced the alleged perpetrator of the events to agreed to get off the viaduct by his own means, and has been arrested.
