A man’s car was stolen while his child was sleeping in the back seat

A father experienced his “worst nightmare” when he realized his car had been stolen while his two-year-old son slept in the back.

The man had just gone to the shops with his son in his car when the accident happened around 3.45pm local time in Victoria, Australia.

He went to the store and wanted to buy an ice cream, but decided not to wake his son, who was sleeping soundly in the back.

The father left the car running so his son could stay warm with the air conditioning and went shopping, staying about 30 meters away from the car the entire time. Just then, another man gets into the car and drives off.

Police believe the thief was “surveilling” the vehicle before getting in but didn’t know the child was inside when he went to rob it, they said NOVA.
