Books – Muhammad Abul-Majd:

Dr. Sheikh Sabri Ubadah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf in Ismailia Governorate, commented on the fact that the Friday sermon he was giving yesterday turned into a quarrel inside the mosque, saying: “I went to the Fire Station Mosque, one of the major mosques, and we have opinion polls stating that there are sleeper cells and extremist groups, and the Imam is my predecessor for 10 years. He is in the mosque, and the sermon was about patriotism, participation in his sons, and the reasons for the spread of extremist thought.

And Ubadah added, in a telephone interview to the “Hadeeth Al-Qahera” program on “Al-Qahirah and Al-Nas” satellite channel, today, Saturday: “I began to speak objectively by discussing the problem and the negative effects that led to the spread of extremist thought within state institutions, and then the evidence in the Qur’an and Sunnah that it is permissible to participate in building State institutions according to the hadiths and prophetic attitudes,” explaining: “As soon as I stumbled upon the love of the homeland with irrefutable hadiths, I found grumbling from some of the worshipers, so I told them who did not like my words. I will leave my phone and email and I hope we will discuss objectively.”

He continued: “I began to discuss in the third point about the permissibility of citizens’ participation in building the homeland, and when I spoke about the point of building the armed forces, police and security, I had a conversation with our master Othman bin Affan that he had prepared the armed forces in the Battle of Tabuk, one of the worshipers responded to me and said, “You are a dog of the government’s dogs.” So, I said, whoever does not like my words can come out or be at ease, I mean.

And the undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf in Ismailia added: “After the sermon concluded, they preferred to chant, “I don’t want you, I don’t want you.”

He explained: “After the prayer, as usual, they made noise in order to take a decision against the patriot or influence public opinion or decision-makers, and this is what happened in detail about the Friday sermon, and after the prayer, I found the news of my exemption from my position, and so far no executive decision has been issued by Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumaa, Minister. Awqaf”.
