Biographical drama with Marietta Tsigal-Polishchuk in the title role tells about the path of Faina Ranevskaya as an actress and many obstacles along the way.
According to the plot, despite the parental ban, young Fanny Feldman leaves Taganrog to conquer theatrical Moscow. The capital meets her with hostility, and every small success is replaced by a serious life drama. Revolution, then war… And a serious struggle for life, which rests on a great love for the theater and absolute faith in one’s own destiny.
“In the global serial industry, the trend to depict strong female heroines and their destinies has become firmly established, and our Faina Ranevskaya, who is invariably included in the lists of the greatest actresses of the 20th century, fits perfectly into this trend, especially since she herself wrote the script of her life in hundreds of caustic aphorisms,” says Kion general producer Igor Mishin. “Until now, only documentaries have been shot about Faina, but the authors of Ranevskaya reconstructed the life of the actress using artistic methods and shot both funny and touching spectator films.”
