This July 21, the parade on the occasion of the National Day took place on the Place des Palais in Brussels. The day after the day of national mourning in tribute to the victims of the floods that hit the country last week, the event was placed under the sign of sobriety.
The Princess Delphine and her husband Jim O’Hare were in the gallery for the first time alongside Prince Laurent (without his wife Claire) and the Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz. On her Instagram account, Princess Delphine reacted. “The celebration of July 21 was very moving. Many challenges to overcome but a feeling of hope thanks to Belgian solidarity”, she wrote.
The princess also thanked the designers for the clothes she proudly wore on this national holiday. For this special day, Delphine opted for a dress and a matching hat signed Siré Kaba, the creator of the Erratum Fashion brand. It is a Belgian brand but inspired by Africa, with the use of “valued African textiles”, as we explained to you here.
