After its highly volatile launch, Filecoin offers a week-long conference in search of stability

Two days after a commotion launch that caused the Filecoin FIL token to soar 118% before dropping almost 80%, blockchain-based data storage platform resorts to now to a weeklong digital conference hoping to set the course.

With the title of “Filecoin Liftoff Week“(Filecoin Takeoff Week), the event focuses on education, infrastructure, interoperability and future project plans. Starting October 19, 2020, the five days of programming present a different theme each day, such as “Build” and “The future.”

Between the high-level speakers ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin will take part in an informal talk on “The bridge between Filecoin and Ethereum“, and Internet Archive founder Brewster Khale, who will talk about”The importance of data retentionOther speakers are Aave CEO Stani Kulechov, Codefi Product Manager Corbin Page, and Polychain Capital founder Olaf Carlson-Wee.

“Mine” day on October 20 will be a highlight for future miners. The programming will be dedicated to the talks, workshops and panel discussions on Filecoin mining. The Filecoin mining system offers higher rewards to miners who provide storage space to the network; freelance miner Benjamin Hoesjbo will also offer a tutorial.

The event comes the moment FIL asset seeks to bottom out after hitting a high of $ 208 on Oct 15. Currently trading is at $ 42.52.

Despite the drop, the Filecoin team remains optimistic about the future prospects of the project.
