After “Tatort” criticism: “Augsburger Puppenkiste” invites Til Schweiger

The “Augsburger Puppenkiste” has invited actor Til Schweiger to personally convince himself of the quality of the well-known marionette theater. The background is Schweiger's sketch of the last “Tatort” Crime. On Facebook he had commented the case “attack on guard 08” of his colleague Ulrich Tukur with snappy words: “Each episode of the Augsburger Puppenkiste was more credible, better played and, above all, more exciting!”

Dear Oliver, what did you take before you wrote this “criticism”?! 😂😂😂I'm throwing me away😂😂😂Each episode of the Augsburger Puppenkiste was more believable, better played and, above all, more exciting!

Klaus Marschall, who runs the doll box in the third generation, told the “Augsburger Allgemeine”: “If Til Schweiger still remembers the television films of the Augsburger Puppenkiste, we find that very positive.” He offered: “I invite Til Schweiger to the performance”. Then the 55-year-old can personally make a picture of the quality of puppetry.

Silence criticism as a compliment

As a puppet spokesman, however, the Augsburgers are not interested in Schweiger: “We know Til Schweiger,” Marschall told the newspaper. “Nudging is his trademark – would that be conducive to our characters?” Theater director Marschall takes the Facebook comments as a compliment. He assumed that Schweiger knew what he was talking about: “In terms of age, he fits in well with the generation that grew up with the Augsburger Puppenkiste.”
