Al Ain University is the fourth in the UAE according to the Times Education classification.

Al Ain University ranked fourth in the UAE and 27 in the Arab world, in the latest rankings of the “Times Higher Education” 2021, which is a famous institution concerned with the classification of international universities for nearly two decades. This is the first time that the “Arab Universities Ranking” has been launched with the participation of 30 universities.
Dr. Nour El Din Atatreh, Chancellor of Al Ain University, stressed that this achievement is the result of efforts and a comprehensive vision that led the educational process, which supports the process of higher education in the country, which is receiving the attention of the wise leadership, as it is an important axis in the process of preparing for the next fifty years.
He said: “The university’s ranking fourth in the UAE and 27th in the Arab world confirms its keenness to keep pace with the latest developments in education and the rapid transformations witnessed by educational systems in the Arab region and the world. It also demonstrates the outstanding performance, hard work, and efforts exerted to improve the quality of education and scientific research within a diverse and distinguished environment, through its diverse and accredited programs locally and internationally, scientific research and the outstanding performance of faculty members, researchers, staff and students.
Dr. Ghaleb Al-Refai, President of the University, stated that this classification is an important sign and a prominent indicator that the university has enhanced its academic reputation, in terms of teaching, performance, scientific research, and attracting talent. Emphasizing its keenness to enhance research production and knowledge production, by encouraging talented researchers locally, regionally and internationally.
Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat, Vice President for Accreditation and Quality Assurance, explained that the Times Foundation relies on 16 performance indicators, collected in five areas: teaching (learning environment), research (size / income / reputation), in the methodology of rankings of Arab universities. , citations (impact of research), community (knowledge transfer/impact), and international expectations (staff/students/research). Pointing out that the university has competed with a large group of prestigious universities in the region, and continues its march towards excellence, to rise in Arab and international rankings.
It is noteworthy that Al Ain University was recently ranked among the best 750 universities in the world for the year 2022, and among the top 80 Arab universities for the year 2021, according to the classification of the International QS Corporation.
