In the framework of World Health Day, the president Alberto Fernández thanked the health workers for putting “the body to the fight” against the coronavirus, claimed the public health system and renewed the request to the Argentines to comply with the isolation.
Along with the minister of Health, Ginés González García, the president toured the facilities of the Malbrán Institute, located in the Barracas neighborhood of the city of Buenos Aires, one of the centers where diagnostic tests are carried out to determine if people are infected with coronavirus.
Fernández congratulated the professionals of Malbrán and told them: “You make history; As a society, we must celebrate a State “that supports the organism and” its scientists ”.
Ginés clarifies that the quarantine is not lifted, it is modified
When leaving the building of the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Parque Patricios, Ginés González García referred to the end of the period of social, preventive and compulsory isolation.
“This to say to raise would be irresponsible. In the day to day the attitude and the measures of the Government are going to be modified”, it indicated in declarations to the press.
He added: “There is no way ‘lifting’ is a good word.”
“Claim public health”
“I want to take advantage of World Health Day to claim public health and infinitely thank the professionals who day by day put their bodies into the fight against coronavirus throughout the country, ”Fernández published this morning on his official Twitter account.
“Let’s do something for them: let’s stay home”, He concluded his message, which was accompanied by a video in which doctors, nurses, assistants, stretcher-bearers and ambulance drivers are observed performing their daily tasks.
“On this International Health Day we want to pay tribute to those who care for us. To all the people who go out to work so that we can stay at home, we only have one thing to say: thank you ”says the video message.
