President Alberto Fernandez met this Friday in the residence of Olivos with the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof and the Head of Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
According to official sources, the president analyzed with Kicillof and Rodríguez Larreta the “Extension conditions” of preventive and compulsory social isolation in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and the interior of Buenos Aires, whose current phase ends this Sunday.
At the meeting, Rodríguez Larreta proposed to the president the return to the activity of open-air gastronomy, the permits for small-scale construction works, the authorization to work for domestic personnel as part of the measures for the next phase of isolation, in which an order for activities and meetings in public space was projected.

The current phase of the quarantine expires next Sunday, August 30 and it is expected that a new extension ad of the measurements for another two weeks, that is until Sunday, September 13.
Authorities are cautiously watching the numbers for the past few days. This Thursday a large number of cases were registered again, with 10,104 new confirmed infections and the death of 211 people in the last 24 hours.
After the meeting with Larreta and Kicillof, at 4:00 p.m., the President will participate in the General San Martín Port, in Santa Fe, of the act for the Federal Waterway Agreement, accompanied by the governors Kicillof, Omar Perotti (Santa Fe), Gustavo Valdés (Corrientes), Gustavo Bordet (Entre Ríos), Jorge Capitanich (Chaco), Oscar Herrera Ahuad (Misiones) and Gildo Insfrán (Formosa), reported Casa Rosada.
Videoconference with governors
Alberto Fernández agreed this Thursday with the governors that Each jurisdiction will maintain or modify its restriction measures according to the local scenarios of the spread of the coronavirus, at the time of the announcement of the next stage of isolation that will begin next Monday.
From the Olivos residence, Fernández communicated by videoconference with 12 provincial leaders to analyze the health and epidemiological situation derived from the pandemic.
Official sources pointed to Telam that “the majority stated that the situation is complex in their provinces,” so each district will define whether it goes backward or maintains the same level of restrictions, according to the evolution of local cases.
