Far Cry 6 is without a doubt one of the bigger games in development. In recent weeks, publisher Ubisoft has been busy bringing the game to the attention with, among other things, the first gameplay of the game.
Before that we already saw a lot of cinematic trailers of Far Cry 6, so we generally have a good idea of the game. And now the publisher has revealed its plans for what we can expect after the game’s release. And that’s quite a lot.
Far Cry 6 has many plans
Far Cry 6 will have a mix of free and paid content after launch. If you don’t want to pay extra for it, you get three different crossover missions. The game makes clever use of the popularity of other media or actors. For example, you can compete with Dany Trejo, but it is also possible to experience content based on Rambo and Stranger Things. You can also get to work every week with so-called uprisings and special operations are regularly released. So the already big game seems to get even bigger. View the below trailer of the plans.
In addition, Far Cry 6 will receive a paid Season Pass. That was previously announced and then we knew you could get started with villains from the Far Cry franchise: Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min and Joseph Seed. But now we know what you can do with this content. It looks like you’re going into some kind of roguelike mode. In it, you can take on various enemies while starting with a simple pistol. Gradually you pick up upgrades that make you stronger. And if you die you lose a lot, but it is also possible to keep certain bonuses.
Finally, the Far Cry 6 Season Pass also includes the classic game Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. To have it all in a handy overview, the Roadmap below is useful to view.
