Former court fitter, now a full part of the BMW Group, Alpina, launched its BMW 4 Gran Coupé version in March. The Alpina B4 Gran Coupé with a three-liter petrol six-cylinder now also has a D4 S diesel variant.
With 355 horsepower, the D4 S is less powerful than the petrol equivalent of the 495 hp, but both models generate the same 730 Nm of torque, which they send to all four wheels via the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The D4 S reaches a speed of 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds and starts up to 270 km / h.
The novelty has undergone the same modifications as all current alpines. The engine is strengthened compared to the base from BMW, thanks to specific parts it also has better cooling and an emphasis on torque. The chassis has also undergone numerous modifications, which traditionally should ideally combine comfort and stability.
The Alpina D4 S also maintains the aura of a powerful BMW for gentlemen thanks to specific exterior modifications, including multi-spoke wheel discs, different bumpers and exhaust tailpipes. Inside, Alpina again offers top leather and plaques highlighting the exclusivity of these cars.
The four-door diesel coupe is available for 79,700 euros, including tax, so it is almost two million crowns.
