Faster, higher, further – Amazon knows no bounds. The world's largest online retailer delivers another quarter with record results: In the first quarter of the year surplus grew by a surprisingly strong 125 percent to 3.6 billion dollars (3.2 billion euros), as Amazon announced on Thursday after US market close. Revenue rose 17 percent to $ 59.7 billion. But that's not enough. To be able to continue to reap rich profits, Amazon customers will be even faster in the future, happy with their goods. Work is being done to make deliveries standard for Prime customers within 24 hours – first in North America and then worldwide, said CFO Brian Olsavsky.
