AMD Zen4 Non-X CPU, some specs confirmed on Lenovo OEM PC

AMD’s latest ZEN4-based Ryzen 7000 series is currently only the X series for high performance has been released, and the so-called Non-X model without X has not yet been released.

It is likely to be announced along with the 3D Cache series at CES 2023 next year, but before that, it seems that some information has been leaked through the partner company’s information page.

The main character of the leak is Lenovo, which seems to be using this Non-X CPU in the latest OEM PC being prepared, and at this time, some CPU specifications were exposed.

There are two types of AMD ZEN4 Non-X CPUs exposed, Ryzen 9 7900 and Ryzen 7 7700.

The Ryzen 9 7900 has 12 cores and 24 threads, a 3.6 GHz base clock and a maximum 5.4 GHz boost clock, which reduces the boost clock by 200 MHz compared to the X series. Instead, it is confirmed that it uses a 65W TDP.

The Ryzen 7 7700 is 8 cores and 16 threads, with a base frequency of 3.6 GHz and a boost of 5.3 GHz, with a boost clock that is reduced by 100 MHz compared to the X series, and is similarly set for a 65W TDP.

On the other hand, what is noteworthy in this leak is the improved TDP, although there is a decrease in boost clock compared to the X series. It looks quite attractive for users who value the power ratio, and it is actually expected that the cost performance will not be bad as it is clear that the price will be set cheaper than the X series.
