journalist Hakan Aygün was detained after the arrest warrant was issued against the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for a post containing the statement “O IBAN ones” on his social media account.
Journalist Hakan Aygün, who was arrested and sent to prison at the courthouse where he was referred on April 3 for the crimes of “inciting the people against hatred and hostility” and “insulting”, appeared before the judge for the first time today.
THE DECISION IS OBJECTED
Aygün attended the first hearing before the 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance in Bodrum through the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). Aygün stated that he did not try to act and humiliate in his defense and shares, only for criticism.
The court ordered the release of Aygün, taking into account the time spent in detention. However, the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office objected to the release decision against Aygün. DHA
