An alleged armed group kidnapped 14 administrative workers from the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSyPC) of the state of Chiapassoutheast of Mexico, the institution itself reported on Tuesday.
The kidnapping occurred in the municipality of Ocozocoautla on the road to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, and after the events, the SSyPC began a air and ground search operation of 14 people, administrative employees, while the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) began an investigation.
According to reports, the workers left the offices of the old Llano San Juan airport for the municipality of Ocozocoautla, when they were intercepted and taken down by armed men.
In a video posted on social networks you can see how a group of armed individuals traveling in different vehicles points firearms at a bus where the SSyPC workers were traveling.
In a statement, the SSyPC indicated that in coordination with federal forces, it specified that the 14 people, all men, were deprived of their liberty by armed persons on Tuesday afternoon on the Ocozocoautla-Tuxtla Gutiérrez highway section, in the vicinity of the crossing Plain San Juan”.
