An off-duty policeman saves the life of a minor in a pool in Salamanca

An off-duty policeman managed to save the life of a minor who was “unconscious and out of breath” when he was floating in a pool located in a rural house in Villar de la Yegua (Salamanca).

According to the information provided by the Provincial Police Station, the events date back to the afternoon of last Friday, June 16when the people who were in the house spending the weekend realized that one of the minors was missing, so they began to look for him and they found him floating face down in the water.

At that time and after his rescue, an off-duty agent verified that the child He was “unconscious and not breathing” so he quickly started cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuverswith which he managed to revive the minor.

Posteriorly, the health services and officials of the Civil Guard approached the place, that they had been requested by telephone by another of the people who was in the rural house in the town of Salamanca.

The health services examined the minor, who had already been revived and was in his mother’s arms, and proceeded, after an initial examination, to transfer it to the University Hospital of Salamanca for a “more exhaustive” analysis and go to observation.
