Ant McPartlin greeted his life-saving girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett and said he was never happier after fighting his drink-shame last year.
The presenter of Geordie TV spoke for the first time of her new relationship after returning to work on Britain's Got Talent this week after ten months of absence.
In an interview with The Sun, Ant said that a return would not have been possible without Anne Marie by his side.
"It was my rock, it's a beautiful soul, we're very happy," he said.
"I'm in the best place I've been in my life, to be honest with you, it's great," added Ant.
The 43-year-old star became public with her relationship with PA Anne-Marie a few months after announcing her separation from Lisa Armstrong's 23-year-old partner.
Their divorce was confirmed through Ant's spokesman in January 2018.
Three months later, the presenter was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and handed a 20-month ban on the streets of April.
Speaking of the improbable beginnings of his courtship with Anne-Marie, Ant vehemently denied the claims of his ex-wife Lisa that her former assistant had broken a "girl code" by engaging in a relationship with him.
While the news of their relationship was interrupted, Lisa had contacted Twitter: "Yes, my friend and our father, whom I left in our house."
But Ant has defined the phrase "trash" saying: "We worked together for many years, but something has changed: she was single, I was single, we were not looking for anyone else".
Ant then admitted that a joint "tumult" brought him and Anne Marie together while he praised her to guide him in his recovery.
Ant took ten months of work to focus on his sobriety last year, which means he missed the finals of Britain's Got Talent and I'm at Celebrity in the fall.
Geordie's star said he could not stand watching Holly Willoughby take her place in the jungle.
He revealed that he and Anne Marie escaped abroad so Ant could avoid seeing her on the screen with Declan Donnelly.
This week Ant could not help but hide his joy as he returned to work on the BGT, where he was given an ecstatic applause from the audience.
As he went up on stage, Ant shook tears as he said to the crowd, "Oh god, I'm really very emotional now, I've missed everyone."
