Is that the next big thing? After the Apple Watch, Apple Glass, augmented reality glasses, could soon come onto the market. And Steve Jobs is also mentioned.

Earlier this week, YouTuber Jon Prosser told Apple about new AR glasses in a YouTube video. This should cost less than $ 500, but have two displays but no front camera. A lidar sensor should also be integrated. You can only use it in conjunction with an iPhone.

But that’s not all: In the podcast “The CultCast” on the website “Cult of Mac” he now reveals that there should also be glasses in memory of the late Apple founder Steve Jobs. The special edition of the AR glasses called “Steve Jobs Heritage Edition” is said to be equipped with the typical round glasses from Jobs. This also reminds of special editions such as the $ 10,000 golden Apple Watch.

According to Prosser, the AR glasses with a design similar to the WayFarer from Ray-Ban will be presented this autumn or early 2021. When exactly that will be depends on the current situation in the corona pandemic.

According to the YouTuber, however, Apple Glass should not be available until late 2021 or early 2022.

In the past, Prosser was often right about his predictions about new Apple products, such as the iPhone SE. How it will be with Apple Glass is difficult to say. One thing is certain, Apple has filed numerous AR patents over the past few years.
