Apple launches a repair program for the iPhone X and the 13-inch MacBook Pro

The Apple computer manufacturer still has quality problems with its licensed products and offers a free repair. This time, there are problems with the iPhone X touch screen and perhaps the damaged SSDs in the MacBook Pro (without TouchBar).

In 2017, the iPhone X in the foreground, the display can no longer respond to touch, or the display responds totally or partially late. Apple offers interested users to contact a service partner or an Apple Store or to contact Apple support, the company writes to a support Web site.

In addition, Apple has detected a "limited number" of 13-inch MacBook Pro models without TouchBar (that is, traditional function keys, 2017), which could lead to loss or error of the SSD data. The mistake only affects SSDs with a capacity of 128 GB and 256 GB – other models and MacBook Pro with TouchBar are not affected.

Apple advises owners of these devices to promptly check the serial number of the device's support for their copy, and then perform a free repair. The affected models were sold between June 2017 and June 2018, so the faulty component has not been installed anymore. The iPhone X repair program is not a time limit.

For some time Apple has been hit by defective components and quality problems and has attracted the annoyance of the customer, not least in light of the ever increasing prices of the devices. For example, the iPhone X 2017 originally cost at least € 1149, that is Apple CEO Tim Cook as "cheap" called.

In the middle of this year, Apple has finally opted for a free conversion program on MacBook models with a new keyboard mechanism ("Butterfly" mentioned), which has led many users to lock the keys. The limitation of the software side of the old batteries in the iPhone has caused much criticism of the IT company and eventually led to a discounted offer for battery replacement.
