“Time Flies” – time flies – Apple writes in the invitation to the press conference which will be held on Tuesday at 19.00 Norwegian time.

As usual, the few words are not chosen at random, and analysts believe that it is not Apple’s next mobile iPhone 12 that will be shown, but that the evening will focus on the company’s smartwatch Apple Watch.

In addition, experts believe that the iPad Air tablet is on the agenda along with the official launch of the iOS 14 software.

The iPad Air

It is expected that the iPad Air 4 will get a real design update, and will look more like the iPad Pro with straight edges.

It also means that Apple is waving goodbye to the home button, but perhaps not the fingerprint reader. Leaks indicate that it may be moved to the side button. This is also a move the renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that Apple will take.

The Lighting port seems to be replaced with USB-C, as it is on the iPad Pro.

Beyond that, we do not have many details about the iPad Air 4, which in terms of price will be between today’s iPad and iPad Pro.

Ny Apple Watch

A new Apple Watch will be the sixth in the series, and it is claimed on the rumor mill that this year’s newcomer will have a further focus on health functions.

On the outside, no changes are expected in the design, but that the watch follows the same form factor as the Apple Watch Series 4 and Apple Watch Series 5.

On the inside, it is believed that Apple is now removing the component that supports Force Touch. This is long gone in the iPhone. We can only hope that the extra space inside the watch will be used for a larger battery.

The financial website Bloomberg claims that Apple will launch another watch – a cheaper version that can replace the new Apple Watch Series 3. The smartwatch has until today been for sale in Apple’s online store for from 2300 kroner. On Tuesday, interested parties will be greeted by the text “We make updates in the Apple Store. Please try again soon. “

It is uncertain whether the new operating systems iOS 14, watchOS 7, iPadOS 14 and tvOS 14 will be available from Tuesday 15 September, but historically the update should not be far away. Regardless, it is expected that Apple will showcase more features, and at least announce the release date.

Brand new hardware?

On the slightly more uncertain side, there are also rumors that Apple may be showcasing brand new hardware.

It has been speculated for years that the company develops its own hardware with chips similar to Tile that allows you to keep track of where your bag is traveling or where you have parked the car.

Due to leaks, the website 9to5Mac writes that the tracker should be named AirTags. One of the things that suggests that the time may be right to show off the hardware is reports that gadgets shall be put into mass production.
