ArgenCarne moves to Patagonia and focuses on the traceability and sustainability of livestock


The CRA initiative that brings together the meat chain will take place in Patagonia. A new edition of ArgenCarne will take place from November 18 to 20 in Viedma, Río Negro and will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with free admission.

There will be three days with specialists, producers and referents of the beef, pork and sheep meat chains. “The three meats have different scenarios in Patagonia and are developed in very different environments, but they all have the same purpose: produce quality, and reach the plate of the Argentines and the world with the best product that can be offered”, highlighted the organization.

In addition, this edition will feature training specially developed for producers, referring to new trends in all livestock and meat chains, such as traceability, sustainability, genomics and blockchain. There will also be animals on display and you can learn various aspects related to production.

Livestock occupies a important role in Patagonia, since there is a stock of 1,443,635 cattle, 6,925,692 sheep and 60,000 pigs. “This region obtained the differential health status of a zone free of foot-and-mouth disease without vaccination, an achievement that generated international recognition, but also restrictions on the entry of standing farms and meat on the bone,” the organization highlighted.

On the other hand, ArgenCarne will seek to receive the visitor with activities related to consumption such as the correct handling of meat, promotion of different cuts, and new recipes to incorporate. There will also be attractions within the framework of the ArgenCarne Gastronomic Festival such as the barbecue championship and cooking school.
