Victim of pneumonia that affected him during the last month, midfielder Ricardo Ciciliano died this Thursday in Barranquilla.
According to information from relatives and relatives, and endorsed even by Dimayor, midfielder Ricardo Ciciliano died this Thursday.
The midfielder, born in Soledad (Atlántico) 43 years ago, was admitted to the La Asunción clinic in Barranquilla, where he was transferred days ago, after relapsing with pneumonia, which had left him hospitalized in an ICU for much of the month of August .
Ciciliano’s long career in professional soccer began in 1993 at Deportivo Pereira. Then he had the first of two steps through Deportes Tolima, then in 1999 he went to Atlético Bucaramaga, in 2000 to Deportivo Pasto and Deportes Quindío, to return to vinotinto and gold, having his great launch to stardom, being a fundamental piece of the title league 2003.
A year later he went to Deportivo Cali, where he was champion in 2005, and then to Millonarios in 2006, where he started in that campaign that led the blue team to the semifinal of the Copa Sudamericana. In Colombia, Ciciliano’s career continued in Once Caldas, Atlético Junior, Uniautónoma and Atlético Huila, where he retired in 2012. He also played in Juan Aurich (Peru), where he was crowned champion of the Decentralized Championship.
Ciciliano until a few weeks ago, worked with the Atlantic Football League. As a technical assistant, he was runner-up in the National Youth Tournament and a silver medal in the 2019 Bolívar National Games.
