Two days ago, a man died on the platforms of the 18 de Marzo Sports Station, of Line 3 of the Metro Collective Transportation System in Mexico City, in view of users and security personnel.

The user who was traveling to the Indios Verdes station began to vomit blood, so the person with whom he was traveling requested the support of the passengers who, in turn, gave notice to the security elements of the station.

The person, 47, was accompanied by his sister, named Patricia, who said the victim suffered from tuberculosis.

In social networks, a video was circulated in which the moment is appreciated, which generated concern, since tuberculosis is transmitted from person to person through the air. When a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis coughs, sneezes or spits, he expels tubercle bacilli into the air.

It is enough for a person to inhale a few bacilli to become infected, says WHO.

However, the Secretariat of Health of the CDMX clarified that the man did not die of tuberculosis in the Metro March 18, as his relative said.
