AXA Mandiri Boss Responds to Victim Complaints Mis-selling Unit Link Insurance Products

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – PT AXA Mandiri Financial Services (AXA Mandiri) ensures product sales insurance which are linked to investment (PAYDI) or unit-links have been carried out through good communication and according to the rules to prevent this from happening mis-selling (service products do not match the offer) to customers.

President Director AXA Mandiri Handojo G. Kusuma emphasized the importance of communicating with customers to clearly explain the promised features and benefits of the insurance products sold. To that end, AXA Mandiri also continues to socialize, both to its salespeople and customers, regarding the insurance products sold by the company.

“We even re-explained the process to customers after the sale took place with a welcome call so that the customer also knows the product he bought and knows the risks that exist from the product,” said Handojo in a virtual media gathering, Thursday, October 7, 2021.

“I think we are a company that has two holding companies [PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. dan AXA Group] which has a very good reputation and we cannot ignore all the signs that we have to comply with from existing regulations, which of course we will obey 100 percent,” he said.

According to him, problems related to unit-linked products are problems faced by the insurance industry as a whole. Therefore, the insurance industry together must continue to educate and disseminate information about insurance products so that the public does not have a wrong understanding.

Meanwhile, he ensures that AXA Mandiri will provide benefits to customers according to the agreed insurance policy contract.
