Bad news for Mees Hilgers. The defender of FC Twente is not going to the European Championship this summer. The defender of FC Twente was last time in the final selection of Young Orange, but had to drop out due to a groin injury. The European Championship will be held in Romania and Georgia from June 21 to July 8. The European Championship starts for the Netherlands on June 21 with the match against Belgium. This is followed by the confrontation with Portugal on June 24 and with host country Georgia on June 27. The Netherlands plays all its matches in Georgia in the group stage.
