Books – Muhammad Hammam:

Ibrahim Hassan, director of football for the Smouha Club team, revealed that his departure from the club, accompanied by his brother Hossam Hassan, came because the players did not feel the effort made by the technical staff.

“Our departure from Smouha was not because of a problem with Mohamed Farag Amer, president of the club,” added the director of football for the Smouha Club, in comments on the MBC Egypt screen in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He continued: “In fact, I am leaving Hossam because of the lack of eagerness of the players to win, especially as we wasted points that are not wasted.”

He continued: “Since we assumed Smouha, the team was facing the specter of relegation to the second division, but we managed to stay and renewed the contract and the intention was to stay with the team until the end of the contract.”

He continued: “The Smouha players did not appreciate the fatigue that Hossam Hassan exerts with them, despite the health conditions he suffers from, especially as he suffers from a disease similar to that of Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the president of Al-Ahly Club.”

Regarding their position regarding reversing their decision and remaining in Smouha, he answered: “The decision is final and we have no intention of returning again.”

Faraj Amer revealed in televised comments on the “Sada Al-Balad” screen that he would try to persuade Hossam Hassan to remain at the head of the technical staff (see details).

On the existence of an agreement with another club, Ibrahim Hassan stressed at the end of his statements, saying: “It is incorrect and there is no agreement with another club or contracting with a club in the coming period.”

Smouha had been defeated last Wednesday by Wadi Degla at the “El Max” stadium in Alexandria with three goals to two in the framework of the twelfth week’s matches.

It is worth noting that Smouha is in seventh place in the Egyptian league table with 17 points after winning four games and tied on five occasions against three defeats.
