Real Madrid, with Courtois but without Hazard, wins on the wire at Espanyol Barcelona

Ruben Neves (38th, 1-0) took the ‘Wolves’ to command and Allan Saint-Maximin (90th, 1-1) equalized for the Magpies. After four days, Wolverhampton, who still have not won a match, find themselves in 19th place (2 points) and the Magpies are 7th (6 points). In the Netherlands, Excelsior received a 1-6 lesson against PSV. Among the Rotterdamois, Siebe Horemans started and even scored the team’s only goal (74th, 1-5) while Jacky Donkor came back into play (85th). On the side of the Eindhoven club, Johan Bakayoko was replaced (75th) while Yorbe Vertessen, injured, was absent.
The case was already heard at rest since PSV already had a three-point lead thanks to Joey Veerman (2nd, 0-1) and Ibrahim Sangaré (29th, 45th). After the break, Xavi Simons (55th, 0-4) and Cody Gakpo (59th, 0-5) still made the visitors fly, who replied to the goal of Horemans (74th, 1-5) by Simons (84th, 1 -6). Paris held in check
PSG was held in check by AS Monaco of Philippe Clement on Sunday as part of the 4th day of the French championship (1-1). The capital club takes first place with 10 points just like Marseille (2nd) and Lens (3rd). ASM is 12th with 5 points. The Monegasques, without Eliot Matazo, not taken back, exerted a heavy pressure in the first minutes against the Parisians, who took no risk in the recovery. Kevin Volland scored on the first chance of the game after resisting a return from Presnel Kimpembe (20th, 0-1). Until then the scenario was perfect for the Assemists and Caio Henrique, who alerted Gianluigi Donnarumma (33rd). But PSG woke up and a recovery from Kylian Mbappé was deflected by defender Axel Disasi (44th). And then, the Parisians struck twice in succession on the post by Lionel Messi and Mbappé (45th).
At the start of the second half, Paris played much higher but did not enjoy the same success as in their previous matches as Neymar first shot Alexander Nübel (59th) from close range and saw his lob pass to the above the empty goal (61st). But the Brazilian ended up scoring his sixth goal from the penalty spot (70th, 1-1). PSG hit the post a third time through Achraf Hakimi (74th) but lost their first points.
Reims share against Lyon and still haven’t won this season
Stade de Reims, which started its season very badly, conceded a new 1-1 split against Lyon on the fourth day on Sunday. Among the Champenois, Wout Faes, who was warned (64th) and Maxime Busi played the whole match. It was even on an action launched by the ex-Ostend and continued by the ex-Carolo that the ex-Genkois Junya Ito opened the scoring (24th, 1-0). In great difficulty in the first ten minutes, the Rémois proved to be more sharp thereafter, thanks in particular to Ito. The Japanese chained accelerations without punctuating them with a good pass (14th) or a strong shot (19th). The third time was good for the Nippon: Faes went up with the ball before shifting to the right side Busi, who sent a cross into the area for Ito, who beat Rémy Riou with an uncrossed header (24th, 1-0).
Reims was in phase when Dion Lopy was excluded (63rd). Lyon did not go into overdrive quickly but Tete could already have equalized without a good save from Patrick Pentz (57th). The Reims goalkeeper, however, could not do anything on a missile from the head of Moussa Dembélé (86th, 1-1).
In the standings, Lyon occupies 4th place with 7 points but played one game less than co-leaders Marseille and Lens (10 points) Reims stagnates in 19th place (2 points).
