The City of Bloomington announced the opening of a new COVID-19 testing site to expand access to free, “barrier-free” COVID-19 testing, part of a Minnesota Department of Health project opening Monday November 23.
The Bloomington site is one of several new locations throughout the state that will remain open at least until the end of the year. Bloomington location is Ridgeview Elementary School, 9400 Nesbitt Avenue South.
Pre-registration is recommended to avoid long lines and waiting times. The pre-registration link is https://mncovidtestingappt.as.me/schedule.php
“The more we can test, the better we can control the presence of this virus in our community and hopefully slow the spread,” said the Bloomington Police Chief, Jeff Potts. “I appreciate the state directing resources to help the people of Bloomington and the surrounding communities by giving them one more opportunity for quick and convenient testing.”
In addition to the new testing sites, the mail-in testing program is available to all Minnesotans throughout the state.
