JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Starting at 07.00 WIB Monday (22/2/2021) to Tuesday (23/2/2021) at the same time, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that five provinces are on alert for the potential impact of heavy rains in the form of floods to flash floods. .
Launching from the official website of the BMKG, Monday (22/2/2021), the five provinces which are estimated to be on alert status are Central Java, East Java, Bali, Central Sulawesi and South Sulawesi.

“The potential impact of heavy rains for the impact of flood / flash can occur in the following areas,” said a written statement from BMKG.
Previously, BMKG stated that there was the potential for heavy intensity rain with lightning and strong winds in 28 provinces until February 23, 2021.
Most of Indonesia still experiences the peak of the rainy season until early March.
Meanwhile, 18 other provinces are on alert status, including Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Jambi, Bengkulu, West Java, DI Yogyakarta and West Nusa Tenggara.
