Burj Khalifa building in Dubai lights up in honor of Mexico


The tallest building in the world, the iconic Burj Khalifa, was lit this night in green, white and red in honor of the celebration of another anniversary of the Independence of Mexico.

The Mexican embassy in the United Arab Emirates shared through social networks an image of the Burj Khalifa tower, illuminated with the Mexican flag, in commemoration of the 209th Anniversary of Independence.

The iconic Empire State Building in New York also joins the festivities, which are lit up, in green and red with the Mexican flag.

The Burj Khalifa skyscraper is located in Dubai, the construction of the iconic tower began in January 2004 and ended in 2009, although it is until January 2010 Opening Ceremony.

With more than 828 meters and more than 160 floors it is considered the tallest building in the world.
