The Palau de la Música de Catalunya postpones the Mutter concert and holds a recital by Camarena
The entity has pointed out the current health situation and the mobility restrictions imposed by the authorities as a reason for the cancellations
He Palau de la Música de Catalunya will not be able to host the concerts of Anne-Sophie Mutter and tenor Javier Camarena, who will offer one of the two scheduled recitals. The Palau has indicated that it is not possible to go ahead with the programming as planned by the international mobility difficulties derived from the health crisis.
Equally, the Palau does not consider the violinist’s concert canceled but will try to find a new date to celebrate it. If it is not possible, it will be definitively canceled. Anne-Sophie mother would have appeared in a quartet formation with Ye-Eun Choi, violinist, Hwayoon lee, violates and Daniel Müller-Schott, cello. The program contemplated quartets by Haydn, Mozart, Schubert and Beethoven, which would have been repeated on January 17.
Regarding the recitals of Javier Camarena, the same circumstances have forced the cancellation of the concert on January 19 although Yes, it can take place on the 18th. Next to the pianist Angel Rodriguez, Camarena will perform a selection of compositions by Donizetti, Tosti, Legrand and Guerrero.
