The Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and TEB – Tramvie Elettriche Bergamasche for the consultancy activities, in favor of TEB, relating to the procedural, administrative and technical path in the construction of the T2 Bergamo – Villa d ‘tramway line. Alme.
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti will support Teb in the various stages of development of the intervention, in line with the agreement signed last February 28 by the CEO of CDP, Fabrizio Palermo, and by the Mayor of Bergamo, Giorgio Gori.
Cdp, in collaboration with any external consultants, will provide Teb with technical-financial advice during the various phases of project development, any environmental impact assessment, tender for services and works, as well as construction of the work.
Specifically, Cdp will support Teb in relation to the administrative procedure, the planning and monitoring of management activities, the procurement methods, both for works and engineering services, the definition of the tender documents and the project approval process. . To carry out this agreement, Cdp will provide ongoing assistance to respect the process and accelerate the construction of the work.

Line T2 – whose technical and economic feasibility project presented by Teb in 2018 was financed by MIT in 2019 – envisages an overall economic framework of 178.5 million euros, thus fully financed: 125 million euros (70%) by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport; the share of 40 million euros of co-financing from the Lombardy Region; and finally the investment of 13.5 million euros by the Municipality and Province of Bergamo and the other Municipalities involved in the route.
Line T2 from Bergamo to Villa d’Almè extends for about 11.5 km, crosses 5 municipalities for a total of 17 stops, including the two terminus and it is estimated that once it is operational (2025) it will transport over 4 million passengers year.
