Lamin Frank Coker (32) is known to many as Laminofly – the personal trainer of a number of Norwegian celebrities, including Else Kåss Furuseth, Agnes Kittelsen and Iselin Guttormsen.
In the latter’s podcast, “The G-point”, he talked about the big choice he has recently made.
Coker is to marry himself next Saturday.
Started as nonsense – ends with marriage
He says that the idea came after attending a wedding which he describes as “really, really nice”.
– And then I thought: “My God.” I think I want to get married,” says Coker to God kveld Norge.

The celebrity coach says that ever since he was a child, he has thought that if he was ever going to get married, it would have to be with someone he would never divorce.
– For my part, marriage and divorce are mutually exclusive. So then I thought that if I look at my dating history and the statistics around me, then I realize that then there will be no marriage, he says and continues:
– I realized that the only person I know that I will never be separated from is myself.
On Coker’s Instagram, it is clear that the trainer is very concerned with self-love and taking care of oneself.
He says that he discussed the marriage with a friend, primarily in jest, when the friend pointed out that this is precisely Coker’s heart.
– I was also a bit like that: “But does that sound a bit narcissistic?”. I went back and forth a bit, he says, but says that he quickly came to an agreement with himself that this was something he wanted to do.
Not worried about marriage becoming an obstacle
Coker emphasizes that although he is very concerned with cultivating love for himself, this does not mean that it should come at the expense of the love and care one feels for others.
– It just means that the one relationship which is the most important must not be neglected. And that is the relationship we have with ourselves.
The coach is honest that the election has caused reactions, but that there has primarily been positive feedback.
– Some people find it very entertaining, and many do not understand what it means in practice. But there are many who say that it certainly makes sense, and that they are happy that I am one of those who choose to do this rather than anything else, he says.

– But some have reacted with: “No! I want you to find your dream partner, and then you can’t marry yourself. You deserve something more”, but then I’ll be like – yeah? Am I not good enough? laughs the 32-year-old.
Will never compromise the relationship
Coker is in no way afraid that marriage will stand in the way of a potential future lover.
– We humans are constantly developing, and in different phases of life we have different wishes and different needs. And because we have such a sick basic understanding of love, it is quite possible that there will come a time when I want another lover – for a shorter period or a longer period.
The 32-year-old emphasizes that any other relationship will never come at the expense of the relationship he has with himself.
– It would be an additional thing, and not a thing that replaced marriage, he says.
When asked if he cannot marry someone else in the future, he replies that he cannot speak for the future.
– But I would have been very surprised if I were to marry someone else. But again, we are constantly developing, so I have to start from everything I know, feel and feel today, and I don’t know if it will be the same in a year or a week.
The wedding will take place in Kulturkirken Jakob in Oslo this Saturday. Iselin Guttormsen stated in her podcast that it will be a wedding on steroids.
– Everything that usually happens in a whole day, now happens within a few hours. It will be something out of the ordinary, says Coker to Good evening Norway.
A total of 152 guests have agreed to attend the spectacular wedding.

The 32-year-old says that he has planned the entire party over the course of eight weeks, and adds that he now understands why people use wedding planners.
– There is an insane amount of planning. Long days and many meetings, emails and phone calls during the day.
– Becomes something more than just symbolic
– When you marry yourself, in sologamy as it’s called, in Norway, you don’t get it registered in the same way as normal marriages, explains the trainer.
He can understand that, as there are a number of practical things that can be very difficult.
– Economics and such, for example. But the secret celebrant who will marry me has found the contract that is written when a person marries himself, so it will actually be something more than just symbolic, he says.
He adds that sologamy is not that widespread in Norway yet, and that his intention is not for everyone to marry themselves.
– I just want people to come and celebrate because life is worth celebrating every day, all the time, as often as we can, concludes Coker.
