The Cercle Bruges has just formalized the arrival of Franck Kanouté from Pescara, Italy. The player is committed until June 2024.
The Cercle de Bruges announced on Tuesday the transfer of midfielder Franck Kanouté. The Senegalese, 21, arrives from Pescara, Italian D2 club. Looking for new profiles to strengthen its midfield before the end of the transfer window, the Cercle de Bruges seems to have found something to suit it. Indeed, the Flemish club have just announced the signing of Franck Kanouté for the next four seasons.
Franck Kanouté is a young Senegalese midfielder who has so far played with Pescara, in Serie B. He arrived in the youth teams of Juventus in December 2015. He played until U19 with the Old Lady, playing notably the Youth League and the Viareggio Cup. He then left Turin for Pescara in 2017 and was also loaned successively to Ascoli and Cosenza. The Senegalese is able to evolve as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder or even as a right piston. A versatility which should undoubtedly please Paul Clément and which could allow the main interested party to obtain playing time.
“We are delighted that Franck Kanouté has opted for the Cercle de Bruges in order to continue his career”, said the Bruges president, Vincent Goemaere, referring to the 7th inbound transfer of the summer transfer window.
