JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Wuling officially markets Alvez, which is its newest product in the compact SUV segment. You could say this car comes with quite a lot of capital to tempt the market.
Not just the appearance, the comfort of the cabin, as well as the luxury of the technology and features that are presented, in terms of the price offered, indirectly also makes its competitors begin to anticipate.
Carrying a 1,500 cc engine, Alvez is actually in the B-segment SUV, but with a fairly low price, starting at IDR 209 million for the SE type, this new Wuling SUV also targets various classes.
In addition to the A segment occupied by Rocky and Raize, the lowest price for the Alvez SE is still cheaper than several Japanese city car brands that use manual transmissions.

Therefore, it is not surprising that Alvez also has the potential to disrupt the market for the Honda Brio RS, which costs Rp. 223.1 million, and the Suzuki Ignis, which is marketed for Rp. 210.5 million.
So what does Wuling offer the cheapest version of Alvez?
Based on the specification data, Alvez SE has the same dimensions as the above variants. Length 4350, width 1750, height 1610 and wheelbase 2550 mm.
Likewise for the engine, it uses the same 4-cylinder DVVT, DOHC, pure capacity of 1,485 cc as Confero.
The kitchen runway is claimed to have 105 tk of power at 5,800 rpm and 143 Nm of torque at 4,000-4,600 rpm which is channeled to the front wheels.
The difference is that the cheapest version of Alvez is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. Apart from that, the wheels are also only wrapped in tin rims which are equipped with plastic hubcaps as a cover but have the same dimensions, namely 16 inches.

The braking system is still the same, using discs at the front and drum at the rear. Likewise for the electric power steering (EPS) which has been pinned on the cheapest Alvez
From the exterior, the Alvez SE looks very simple without LEDs, DRLs, roof rails, rear wiper, and shark fin antenna. Don’t expect to have a sunroof either.
While the interior, the packaging is made according to the price. There is no synthetic coating on the seats, only digital MID, no USB power outlets on the second row, not even a soft touch panel.

Fortunately, digital air conditioning is still embedded by Wuling, complete with USB fast charging with 20 W power, Dual SRS airbags, ISOFIX and child door locks, emergency stop signals, ABS and EBD, and immobilizer.
