The leader of the Russian republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrovknown for the systematic violations of human rights in that region, which it controls with a heavy hand, appointed this Sunday his fifteen-year-old son, Adamas head of his security servicereported the Chechen Minister of Health, Adam Alkhanov.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate (…) Adam Kadyrov on his appointment to the important position of head of the security department of the leader of the Chechen republic,” he wrote on Telegram.
Alkhanov pointed out that Adam, “Despite his youth, he already has great practical experience” and he has a “strong warrior spirit”, so nothing will stop him from defending his father, his people, his religion and his homeland.
Adam Kadyrovdecorated for “his merits” in both Chechnya and Tatarstan, became the subject of controversy last September after spreading a video on social networks in which he beat up a detained Russian for burning the Koran.
The Chechen leader gave his son a boost and said he was proud of his conduct, while the Russian authorities preferred to ignore the incident.
