London, Nov 21 (EFE) .- Chelsea returned from the national break with a win against Newcastle United (0-2) and lead in the Premier League.
Frank Lampard’s men beat Urracas at St James Park with an own goal from Argentine Fede Fernández and a goal from forward Tammy Abraham in the second half.
The Blues went ahead after ten minutes, when an intermission by the band ended with a cross that Fernández, instead of clearing at Ben Chilwell’s insistence, put into his own goal.
The Argentine requested a previous foul by pushing, but the referee did not indicate anything.
Despite Chelsea’s clear dominance, the sentence did not come until the second half, when Tammy Abraham took advantage of a good deep pass from Timo Werner to beat the Newcastle goalkeeper below.
With this triumph, Chelsea remains first in the standings provisionally, with 18 points, the same as Leicester City and one more than Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
