The Chilean basketball team was unable to qualify for the final phase of the AmeriCup when Monday night fell 42-61 against Venezuela in the last match of the qualifying phase of the Pan American tournament.
In Cali, home of the last bubble, the national team had to beat the llanero team after Colombia surpassed it in the table after surprisingly beating Argentina in the previous match.
Nevertheless, the team led by Cristián Santander was unable to settle on the field and said goodbye to the possibility of qualifying for the tournament for the first time, formerly known as Torneo de las Américas, finishing last in the group with a record of 1PG-5PP.
Chile’s best hand was Nicolás Carvacho, with 12 points.
