The Canadian coach Brian Orser summed up the 2018/2019 season for his protégé – Russian skater Evgenia Medvedeva. His words convey the "360" channel.
The specialist compared the Russian season with the "roller coaster", talking about Medvedeva's emotional state. He noted that the Russian woman needed 18 months for the necessary changes. "Then there will be a big difference. So far, he has only had 10 months, so the best is yet to come," he said.
At the World Cup in Japan, Medvedeva, 19, won a bronze medal. Her compatriot Alina Zagitova and the representative of Kazakhstan Elizabeth Tursynbayeva were in front of her.
Medvedev missed the European championship due to unsuccessful performances in the national championship – he took only seventh place in the Russian championship. At the Russian Cup, the figure skater became the best and received a ticket for the World Cup.
In February 2018, Medvedev won a silver medal at the Pkhenchkhane Olympics. In May, she left the Eteri Tutberidze coach and moved to Canada, where she started working under the guidance of Orser.
